During the talks, Secretary Rubio expressed gratitude to Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman for once again hosting discussions aimed at resolving the Ukraine war and securing a lasting peace. The leaders also addressed the situation in Yemen, highlighting the ongoing threats posed by Houthi terrorists, who continue to jeopardize global trade, American interests, and the safety of Saudi citizens and infrastructure.
The discussion expanded to Syria, where the Secretary emphasized the importance of establishing a stable government free from terrorism. The leaders explored potential strategies to promote peace and security in the region.
Additionally, reconstruction efforts in Gaza were a key focus. Rubio thanked the Crown Prince for hosting Arab nations and reiterated the U.S. stance that any resolution to the Gaza situation must exclude any involvement of Hamas, underlining the United States’ firm commitment to ensuring that future solutions do not empower terrorist organizations.
